Michelle Forsyth
Artist Statement
When Forsyth visited Toronto for the first time in 2004 she bought a pair of Annie Thompson pants on queen street west. She only wore them a few times. Even though Forsyth loved wearing them she kept them in her closet because she was too afraid to ruin them. Forsyth worked with Emily Cook to make paper based on the colour of the fabric. She also constructed a backdrop and pedestal to match. They are pictured in her photograph.
